I'm Back! Along With a Lot of Lambs!
Sorry about that. The Twelve Days of Christmas got cut short when I had hand surgery on my right hand. I had created more blogs and Facebook posts but they, well, disappeared!
Since the time I last posted:
- Our ewes had 11 lambs. We have 5 girls and 6 boys. More on that at a later date.
- I am recovering from my right thumb surgery. I must admit, it went better than the left hand! Though my surgeon gave me a list of things I'll never be able to do again. There went coming out of retirement and nursing again.
- We had a cold spell that was unbelievable. Barn water lines froze and the sheep got seriously tired of being inside. Just 3 days, but cooped up sheep are not nice.
- Liam walked over the fence and his human, me, fell a few times trying to walk up the pasture and make sure he didn't get himself tangled in the fence. He didn't and was home 2 1/2 hours later. He is now grounded.
Now! I need to catch everyone up on the happenings in the shop! I'm candle making, soap making, dyeing wool and yarn, and making more beeswax wraps! I don't know when I'll be able to start making dryer balls again.
We have a huge show the end of the month at the Augusta Armory. On Feb 25 and 26, The Ancient Ones of Maine will hold it's annual Gun and Outdoor Living Show. I'll have 2 booths up on the stage. Patty is also joining me with lots of wonderful history books for sale.
Again, sorry being gone so long.
