They arrived in the wee morning hours on April 12th. We could here them in the post office lobby. 42 little yellow and black fuss balls, born just 2 days before in Pennsylvania are about to grace our farm!
All tucked together to keep warm were 26 little Cornish Cross chicks and 16 little Barred Rock chicks.
And boy, were they hungry!!!
By the way, the red light you see are the heat lamps. It’s cold here and though we used to start our chicks in the house, there are too many for that this year.
They have grown and grown and grown! More on these guys later. Stay tuned!
